Question for the horde
« on: August 04, 2022, 09:48:12 PM »

I was wondering as I am about halfway done with the Bong campaign. Would it be good to make an “easy” one with Average to Rookie enemy skill level, and a “Hard” with Veteran and Ace skills?  Same missions, just change skill level.

I know being away for so long, the veteran and Ace completely destroys me… hahaha

That would be a good idea, I'll be playing the "Easy" campaign.
Lots of Average skilled Zero pilots is enough for me.

Well... opponents were not all aces or veterans, no ??? Same goes for the friendly pilots. So, having average and some rookies is historically correct... which is more important than having a "easy" and "hard" version of the campaign !!!

I just didn't want it to be too easy for the experienced pilots and get bored.

Good writing and mission presentation is more important, at least imo. Vampirepilot's ZRS/ZRCV campaigns aren't particularly challenging to fly (at least in my opinion), but the writing and setting are so compelling that it makes flying the campaign multiple times still fun.

Or increase the average skill of enemy pilots gradually? For example, 30% Rookie and 5% Ace in mission 1, 10% Rookie and 30% Ace in mission 10, etc.
Yes, it might be considered "non-historical" for the Pacific.
