Pole Position, a DBW Campaign

Pole Position

This campaign was made with Il-2 1946, 4.10.1 #DBW.

I can't verify if this campaign will work with anything else (but I wouldn't count on it).

This is a 58-mission, historical campaign, where you will fly with the Polish, then French, then Royal Air Forces

Fly 8 missions with the 111th Fighter Escadrille, Polish Air Force, during the German invasion of Poland.

Then, fly 9 missions with 5th Escadrille, GC III/1, French Air Force during the Battle of France.

Next, fly 25 missions with No.303 Squadron, "Tadeusz Kosciuszko Warsaw", Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain and the Channel Battles.

Last, fly 16 missions with No.316 Squadron, "City of Warsaw", Royal Air Force during the Normandy Campaign.

Get off my lawn!

In my campaigns, always start with the highest rank available.  You will thus have command of your squadron in the air in all missions, allowing you to order individual flights to attack specific targets.

Oh, it's you again...

There is usually a lot of air activity going on during these missions.  This is a little reminder that there is more to this war than just you.  Cycle through the cameras if you want to see what else is going on.

Okay, now I'm really mad...

The vast majority of your missions are air-to-air combat, until your last tour, during which you fly the Mustang III with 316 Squadron, at which time you'll be flying mostly ground attack missions.

Hey, I warned you...

You should probably put this in the "GB" folder in "Campaigns," though "PL" would work, too.  It all really just depends on which rank titles and medals you want.

You just don't learn, do you?

Of course this campaign is for DBW1.7 based on 4.10 and not for VP pack based on 4.12 besides that you need to be sure that you have all the needed mods (for example Fred D.520 is not part of VP pack) so make sure that you comply with the very clear instructions in bold red
