Here are replacements for the two ed maps, which show up in the FMB when well zoomed out and on the in-flight map pad. I created them by capturing FMB pics from a very high altitude (by raising a small fire object well up into the stratosphere). Then I fitted the pics onto the existing ed map, then lightened things up and made a uniform water color.

Ha-ha, original idea.
But, you missed one moment.
The final image for ed_m01.tga needs to be shifted down vertically by 2 pixels. And for wide maps, in addition, 1 pixel to the right. This is a feature of Il_2.
By the way, you can check this if you combine your file with the default ed_m01.tga

P/S. Then it is already possible to make an ed_m03.tga file with a resolution of 512x 512 pixels and write it to load.ini

Now I can’t have time to view the problematic airfield in the full editor. In theory,
This bug occurs due to an extra single taxi point or stay point. Or instead of a taxi point, a stay point is used

Hallo,
i have not understood how to install the mod on post #1.
I have the mod v2.3 and it works.
If i install the New HB reworked, it does not work.
If i install this reworked mod on the v2.3 it works but without seaplanes runways.
If i install HB_PacificIslands_Sea_Planes on v 2.3 it works and i see the seaplanes runways.
If i install HB_PacificIslands_Sea_Planes on v 2.3 and then the reworked, i loose the seaplanes bases.

At the end, i wonder what is the correct way to install  this beautiful map. Maybe , i have trouble with translation.. :-|

My version BAT 4.2.1 Flash point

- Delete the v.2.3 version, and install the WxTech version in the first post.
- For have the version of genXgamer with the new "sea plane" tracks,
   disable the map with JSGME, open the BATMODS folder, then go to the folder
   !!0_HB_PacificIslands_WxTech/#WAW3/MAPMODS/Maps/HB_PacificIslands and replace the files with those from genXgamer post #37
- reactivate the map with JSGME

for the moment I do not change anything in the first post because there will surely still be some updates, I will add them as soon as we are sure to have
a final version or almost, specifying the dates.


PS:
For the translations I spend a lot of time writing French / English, English / French in all directions, but...(Sigh)...::)...

The map works only with v2.3 .
The i have to activate seaplane bases on v2.3.
I am sorry.

Hi Dandolo513

I added the seaplane runways to the latest version (28th August) so you simply have to download my one, reply #37.

Copy and paste HB_PacificIslands and _Tex folders to #WAW3/MAPMODS/Maps for B.A.T. installs.

#SAS/MAPMODS/Maps for installs like VP Modpack.

Of course any future updates by WxTech or starfighter311 will have to be added to this version if the seaplane runways are to be kept.

OK, I'm having a seniors moment here, and would appreciate some help on getting this map to work. It looks like a fun map and I'm keen to fly the Beau vs Rufe mission.

Details are:
Game version BAT 4.2.1, with no mods enabled.
Downloaded genXgamer's version (@ reply#37), enabled the folder !!0_HB_PacificIslands_WxTech with JSGME.
Entered the text HB_PacificIslands      HB_PacificIslands/load.ini in the all.ini file in MAPMODS_Maps folder.
Unfortunately when I go to open the map in FMB I get the following error message...
World.land().LoadMap() error: java.lang. RuntimeException: Landscape 'HB_PacificIslands/load.ini' loading error.

Any help to solve this problem would be very much appreciated.

I don't use JSGME myself unless someone instructs me to, Whistler and his mods for example.

You may be missing one of these Moon0000.tga or SL_Jungle.tga.

Can you get the console open (shift+tab) to see what the error is?

Thanks for getting back to me. Yep, you a are right, it appears /Trees\SL_Jungle.tga is missing.

WxTech used this texture in his re-doing of Agracier's New Georgia map.
He forgot to include the texture with this map.
Edit: And I probably should of included it in my upload.
