Yeah, feel free to fiddle around.
Saw that Video myself, when the Cockpit is Pink, sth. is missing at the receiving end.
To get a clue how it should look like in a BAT 4.22 Hotfix 4 check my Screenshots.

Best wishes

In the mesh viewer utility I got the pink cockpit until I copied Salon.tga from the plane folder to the cockpit folder (where that important texture is just a single pixel.) The funny thing is, when running the game, if I leave that miniscule texture in the cockpit folder the texturing is still done correctly. Strange how for some installations the cockpit folder does not need the full 1024 pixel texture to display in the game, yet for others that full size texture must be in the cockpit folder.

I see that a circular reticle mask is in operation for the sight, based on results in the game. However I can't see it in the mesh viewer, and it seems to not work there. More strangeness.  ;)

Boy, an awful lot of interior parts are painted with one Salon.tga. hence the low level of detail. Of course, this is because the interior cockpit is simply the same cockpit made for the external model.

Playing with the Hurri cockpit...

Because the interior surfaces of the canopy framing use the external skin, as you change the plane's skin the framing changes color as well. For instance, selecting the blue PRU skin will have the whole inside of the canopy framing become blue as well!

A quick fix for that:

1) Select a skin1o.tgb skin from the skins folder having a suitable color for the canopy frame parts, and paste a copy into the cockpit folder.

2) Rename it FixedSkin.tga.

3) In the cockpit folder, make a copy of Gloss1D0o.mat, and rename it FixedSkin.mat. In this file, have it point to FixedSkin.tga.

4) In both of Body.msh and Blister.msh, rename the Materials from Gloss1D0o to FixedSkin.

Here's the result when the blue PRU skin is selected, where previously it would have the whole interior canopy framing the same blue.

In another quick refinement, I adjusted the hue and lightness of the selected skin for the canopy interior. The inset image in the screenie below shows the altered skin. This is only a quick and crude expedient, one of the disadvantages being the very low resolution in the texturing due to using VERY small bits of the skin texture. There is also some need to isolate certain elements for specific treatment. But this simple approach is a very painless means to get a good ways toward both an appropriate color and consistency whatever the exterior skin selected.

Was an idea I had, but shifted away.
Sehr gut. very good.

Some Skins really gave an annoying interior. Cool it's sorted.
btw. Thanks for lending me a hand on this.

Self Stationary Planes:

Please test, remember I'm visually disabled, coding these Inis, ... is very hard for me,
in this case these repetative Lines.

If things don't work out, we could need assistance here.
