As the title says I have set two buttons in my hotas to move from wide view to normal view. In this way I get a sort of zoom that goes in increment or in decrement in a smooth way. I don't remember If the option to have the fov working in this way was due to a mod of some kind.
Anyway  I would like to make this transition a little slower an I wondered if there are some parameters I can change somewhere.

I suppose you use the NG-CAM mod or BAT (with the mod installed).
In that case take a look in the CONF.INI and look for the NGCAM section.
There should be a speed option, standard it is 2 i think.

Years ago I did this zooming in and out on my CH Throttle. I set up the two buttons so as to generate multiple key presses, with a certain defined interval in milliseconds which resulted in the best balance between zoom rate and 'smoothness'. To be sure, one can't have true smoothness with a zoom increment in 5° steps of FOV. But it worked well enough until a proper zoom mod came along.

OK, if it does not exist, just add the following to your conf.ini.
Change the values to your liking.
The SpeedExt = zoom speed outside the cockpit (2 = 2 x times faster, if you want to slow it down, you can use 0.x as values as i remember).
The SpeedInt = zoom speed inside the cockpit.
