Engine simulator - a new way to make samples
« on: October 16, 2022, 12:00:53 PM »

I just recently found an interesting program called Engine Simulator
It is what it is. It simulates different kinds of engines with actually decent audio

It has settings for different sound frequencies as well besides simulating a gearbox with a clutch too
Recording these and then putting some eq or effects for desired sounds has great potential imo. I already managed to get some good radial exhaust sounds

It is though still in early developement so not really user friendly but it's easy to figure out with all the help
And it's completely free

Engine DJ, fascinating Tool.

Most audible Tools are like 3-D or CAD Software, a pain in the ass when it comes to handling.
Or coding HTML, that's sth. I expect me to do when I reside in Hell. Too much logic and that stuff.
That's why I'm stuck in R/L at Graphic Design and Tools like Freehand, Illustrator, PS or Fontlab.
There everything is plain simple, easy to use.

Nevertheless cool idea...

Best wishes

I'll check that out Tobi

In the meantime i made a set of radial engine loops with Engine sim
They sound nice imo but can be eq-d to one's liking

If it may suit any plane, well use it freely
