Autopilot planes overheat at alpine airport
« on: November 14, 2022, 10:30:05 PM »

During the testing of behaviour of  planes flown by autopilot on airfields located at mountains I found that some planes overheat at takeoff-circle-landing exercise. These  planes fell to the ground and explode. It was observed e.g. with Fw-190, A-20 at Bagran (1484 meters ) and Kabul (1791 meters), but MiG-3U (devised for altitude) succeded in the test  there.
Obviously our beloved Il2 has capabilities not revealed earlier.

EDIT:
The behaviour described was observed on Il2 ver. 4.122 SAS 5.30.
2ndEDIT:
Tested one autopilot plane with three AI planes in a wing on Kabul airport: AI planes do not crash, only autopilot does.
