Looks great, but the dimmer is in up position on start.

The rear gunner seems a wee bit high placed. The traces come out from under the barrel very distinctively.
I suggest the following adjustment:

[Main]
Mesh Main
Parent _ROOT_
Hidden
Attaching 0 1 0  -1 0 0  0 0 1  0.889072 0.00940218 0.533673

Which is the file to edit, and where is it located ???

Arado Ar.196A-3 cockpits FIX
« Reply #15 on: November 20, 2022, 03:37:12 AM »

As a result, it turned out that the external model has a pivot turned and it does not coincide in rotation with the turret in cockpit. Changing the height in this case does not help. I replaced the turret with the entire external model.

Any way to port it to the Ar-196T too? (the naval one)

Naive me tried to do it with dump mode and all but of course the animations don't work on the 196T ;D
It's beyond my knowledge

Since the T has a different rear gun (twin barrel) I retained the gunner in BAT and only modified the cockpit. It was already lined up for the hotfix, I just could not get that dimmer do the thing. Now that I see your code, Tobi, I get it ;)

Dare I express a little criticism?
These cockpits exceed the default game limits in terms of the number of faces per mesh on many meshes:

I'm not sure whether it's clever to release mods that require binary edited DLLs in order to work at all.
