Hs 123
« on: November 25, 2022, 09:26:18 PM »

Thank you for the great work!
Since BAT 3.X, the Henschel HS-123 in WAW has moved the landing gear to the side (about half a meter to the left).
The same aircraft is displayed correctly in TGA.

Sorry, can't confirm. All looks normal here in WAW. Must probably be a mod you have?

If the plane looks normal in the loadout preview and only wrong on the ground, it could be a classfile mod which has wrong spring movement code.

Exactly the fileger appears correctly in the "preview/selection".
I have a clean installation, where can I look, Java is a foreign language for me.

Since in a normal BAT this is not present, and you have no mod in place, you have a messed up install. Can you show a screenshot of your #WAW3?

@Vampire_pilot:

I installed red core again completely in parallel, the result was the same.
It can't be due to the il2 installation if it works in TGA, no drama since I'm the only one with these problems.

Actually, the plane's files are totally unrelated in the two modules.
While I do not see an immediate suspect, something is fishy with your setup apparently.
So we think the problem is the spring animation. If the plane in the air and in the preview has properly alligned wheels, the spring compression on the ground is animated wrong. For all I see, this is done in HS_123.class or 434826B4D4D3A254 (hashed version)

Can you check if you have, for whatever reason more than one HS_123.class or maybe a hashed doublete of it somewhere in #WAW3?

You could try and check if copying over the HS_123 classes from TGA into a top loading folder into #WAW3 changes anything. If that does not help, the error may be a difference in 3d data pulled. However, I can not imagine how this may happen.

Thank you for the insightful answer.
I will search my installation for the appropriate "keys/parameters".
I finally have a clue.

next I will update il2 1946 again to 2.12 because the Hs 123 was never modified.
Then I put Red Core on top.
If all else fails, I'll copy the Jawa
