About "BAT".
« on: November 26, 2022, 06:43:37 PM »

Isn't "BAT" a big burden on old PCs?
my pc is old "i7-4790 3.60GHZ" RAM 24GB Geforce GTX 1660 SUPER
I was running "Vp mod" → "BAT4.1.3" → "Latest version of 4.2.2", but I'm worried about the poor movement I feel from the monitor (1920 x 1080).
I am Japanese. I use Google Translate.
I think there are times when subtle nuances are not conveyed.

I purchase a new computer about every 6 years; the current one is 3.5 years old. It's an i5-9600 overclocked to 4.8GHz, with an RTX 2060 GPU running at 2560x1440. My frame rates often enough drop down to around 30-40 when things get a bit busy, but for the most part are about 70-80 (going to the monitor's max of 144 when not too much is being drawn.)

What would be a characteristic frame rate for you?

"WxTech" Thank you as always.

You didn't display the frame rate, but it should be below 30.
Currently, I am enjoying "Vp mod" while looking for things that are not compatible with "Effects_v1.5". "Effects_v1.5" with "15E1127AE68FA29C" removed worked.
"BAT" and "Vp mod" had completely different movements in the same map. It seems that my PC can't keep up with what "BAT" demands, and "Effects_v1.5" seems to start working again with the "Vp mod" that seems to work.

A new PC is fine, but the "Adobe CS5" I use at work won't work, so I'm going to enjoy playing games on Windows 8.1 for a while.
Maybe I should update "Adobe CS", but I don't have that much work lately.

it is in many regards "not the same" when playing on the same map in different mod pack setups:

- are the textures on the map the same (HD, non HD.... makes a very high impact)
- are the objects the exact same? (different versions of same map and different versions of whatever object in your mission, again: HD or non HD skins on objects used by modders, high poly objects? LOD of those objects? Effects and their LOD?)
- planes in the mission may differ (how many, what type? What LOD distances do these planes have exactly in the modpack? Are they modded or not? Do they use HD graphics for internals?....)

bottom line is, it's a hundred factors, but the simple "size of the pack on your hard drive" is of very little importance for performance in BAT in that regard these days.

Thank you for "Vampire_pilot".

When I started to move "BAT", I was worried that "the windshield was fully open", so I didn't move it.
Because I am the one who edits and uploads videos.
With the "Vp mod" I was using until then, I was worried about "opening the windshield on the way home", but in editing, I searched for an angle that didn't show it and made a video.
For "BAT", I created two scenes, a "takeoff scene" and a "flight scene", and edited them together.
I like to open the windshield when landing, but when I do it with "BAT", the recorded thing is fully open.
The aircraft types are exactly the same, including the skins.
Some of my favorite effects didn't work with "Vp", so I decided to switch to "BAT". .
Replacing the PC with a new one seems to solve the problem, but it is not just a tool for games, but also work applications must be run.
In the future, we plan to move both "Vp mod" and "BAT", but "Vp" may be the main one for "video making".
Thank you for allowing us to exchange opinions on this site.
And I will continue to be a fan of this site.
I know that I may have unreasonable requests and hopes, but please continue to support "RABIZO".

If you have any "conf" settings that make drawing smoother, please let me know.

Your PS troubles I faced when I switched from a Vista PC to a Win8 Laptop
and none of my Files could be opened in PSCS5/64bit anymore.
It turned out I just installed the 64bit version of CS5 to that Notebook,
when I used the 32bit architecture for creating the files.

I'm on PS CS5.1 here too, Win11, i5-9400, 16GB, GTX1650.

In a 64bit architecture using CS5 you should install both 34bit and 64bit versions
of CS5 to be able to open and make fluid edits on any older work.
Just having a 64bit version gets you in trouble with legacy 32bit work.

Next thing you should check in PS CS5, go to Settings/Performance, you must adjust your GPU Settings.
this is case sensitive and at any case and should be set up straight to the matching of your PC.
It took me days of fiddling there until I had it running fluently.
use Google for how to setup GPU in PS.

If not running fluently, PSCS5 will crash, the loading Screen turns Black,
loading takes 30 minutes or it won't even start.

Both versions installed switch silently to the needed version or specificly if you want.

Thank you "Knochenlutscher".

My PC is 64bit and PS is running.
PS and AI are the main work Adobe products, but I stopped updating them due to a decrease in the amount of work.
If I had updated with the new Windows and new Adobe products, I would not have been dissatisfied with the drawing when using a higher-spec PC.
I can't raise the specs of my PC at the moment, so I'm going to try various things with the "conf" settings.
If you can draw beautifully, "BAT" is more beautiful than "Vp mod".
I will try various challenges in "IL2 1946 video production".
