The battle of Midway was one of the largest naval battles of World War II. It was fought almost entirely with aircraft.

You can fly this campaign as:

US Navy Fighter Pilot:
-   Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat

US Navy Dive Bomber Pilot:

-   Douglas SBD-3 Dauntless

US Navy  Torpedo Bomber  Pilot:
-   Douglas TBD-1 Devastator

US Navy Pilot operating from land base:
-   Grumman TBF-1 Avenger

US Navy Seaplane Pilot:
-   Consolidated PBY-5 Catalina

US Marine Corps Fighter Pilot:
-   Brewster F2A Buffalo
-   Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat

US Marine Corps Bomber Pilot:
-   Vought SB2U-3 Vindicator

US Army Air Force Pilot:

Requirements:

B.A.T. v4.2.2
DCG 3.50 beta  (https://forum.jg1.org/forum/68-dcg-announcements/)

Installation:

Decompress the Midway.rar into your DCG home directory.
Make a backup of the DGEN directory in you IL-2 game directory 
Copy Dgen, Missions & Paintschemes folders from your Midway folder and paste them in your IL-2 game directory. Overwrite if prompted.
Start DCG, select Optional Third Party Data Folder.
Navigate to the Midway folder and select allcampaigns.dcg
Select "Replace Career Generator (DGen)" in the DCG main screen.
Select Off Line Career (Full Auto-Generation Mode) in the DCG main screen.
Launch Il-2 WAW module and select one of the above-mentioned careers.


Recommended DCG Settings
Air Starts: On
Delayed Start Times: On
Historical Production Dates: Off
Ships Remain Sunk: On

Note:

There is an error that sometimes happens if BAT has too many skin folders for DCG to handle. DCG has a weird way of regocnizing aircraft by its skin folder and it was created a long time ago when number of aircraft was significantly smaller than today. The error should have been corrected, but it still pops up every once in the while preventing the campaign from launching.

However, there is a walkaround. Go to PaintSchemes and rename Skins folder (eg. Skins_Backup. Then  copy the Skins folder fro this package to the PaintSchemes. Later on if you need skin folder for another aircraft you can copy it from Skins_Backup to Skins, or if you install another DCG campaign you can install the skins from the campaign.

Pretty awesome campaign, first thing i did was get on the seat of the TBD and although a deathtrap is such a awesome little plane to fly. so far not shot down yet wish me luck!

So sadly it appears hotfix 4  might of broke this campaign or mybe the payloads need updated. Every time I create a new campaign in this one we get the explosion on runway or carrier issue. It appears all planes even enemy are instantly blown up. On the map a runway isnt even listed on midway. I made sure I didnt have too many skins. I am also running 3.50 on the dcg. I hope the new hotfix, (if it is the culprit )didn't break all campaigns.

I cannot duplicate this. Hotfix 4 installed, campaign starts just fine.  Of course it is possible I have forgotten something from the package again  :-X   Log?


I made sure I didnt have too many skins.


Just to make sure... It's the number of folders in PaintSchemes/Skins folder that may cause problems with DCG, not number of individual skins.

I also tried removing all my JTW skin folders in main to check if it was this issue and it still had the same fatal result. At one point i had a log that also said "WAKE CS" was missing. Im confused on this one.

Maybe these 2 lines in my log are the problem?

That definitely is the problem. That would suggest that one or more of ordnance slots for E13A1_B is empty. But the line for E13A1_B in payloads.dcg in the Midway package is:

No I tried another one of yours as soon as I got the error in thinking they were all universal but it doesnt seem like any were working. I put the default back and now it works. Maybe the first extract got corrupted. Weird! LOL

Everything goes well...then CTD. Il2 4.2.2 with hotfix 4. At first atempt to create campaign the game freezed. After check what went wrong and reinstalation of campaign, now CTD every time.
For all DCG campaigns.
Replacing DGen for clear one didn't help. I'm giving up with this I'm afraid. I'm reciving ,,Il26Dof/ windows communicate after CFD...

Thanks to creator advices, everything is working as intended!

 There is always must to be a ,,but'', How can I improve bomber skills to our squadron virtual friends? They didn't hit enemy's carrier even once.
My single hit by 500lbs or japan 250kg don't do much damage to a carrier...
