Ranwers pilots as scenery characters
« on: December 17, 2022, 08:14:36 AM »

:D  At the end of a long and troubled story, thanks to Ranwers' personal intervention, Mick's help, Haifisch's help, and Epervier's decisive and resolving intervention, I finally managed to complete this package which sees the pilots imported by Ranwers available as characters to be included in airport dioramas and not only for screenshots. This will increase the realistic impact of the ground scenery which for too many years has been the Achilles heel of this simulator of ours (crudely sketched runways, inaccurate and very low resolution props, ridiculously shapeless characters etc.).  And after our Carsmaster gave us that fantastic mod that allowed us to fully enjoy HD models, our panorama expanded by leaps and bounds.
Coming back to us, you will find in the pack a series of US, RAF, Japanese, French and Italian pilots in winter and tropical suits, unfortunately the German pilots are absent as we were unable to find a Luftwaffe pilot in a standing position on the web.  My contribution was limited to the creation of the tropical suits and the coordination of this mod.
Thanks to all the friends who helped me!

P.S. This mod works well in 4.09 and 4.12 VP ModPack, in the other installations there seem to be problems with the size of the FRA, RAF and Italian pilots, which could appear small.
US and Jap pilots, on the other hand, presented no problems.

:)  But dear Shardana, like the other scenery characters use them as objects in FMB-populated airports. Place the package in #SAS and update the list in Static. They are objects like everyone else.   ;)

Thank you. A nice addition.
Although a lot of them may have had some tough scary missions,  by the look of their bandy legs.

Hi folks, I am having a problem with this mod; French, RAF, and Italian pilots appear in small scale and can't be placed on a map, all the rest are fine. I attach pictures, where you can notice the difference between a French pilot and a US,
