It's generally not a good idea to copy BAT files manually to the target folder.
We're not TD. We've shipped BAT with installers for a reason.
The BAT installers do more than just copying files around. Sometimes much more.

You are right, but the installer did not allowed me to extract to another folder than the downloaded folders reside. So I had to copy .

Could you elaborate this issue a bit more please Ivan?
I'm really curious because the installer is NSIS based and has no limitation applied to the target folder, drive, universe whatsoever.
If there's been an issue when you tried to install from a certain location "A" to another target location "B" (which IMHO is what 99% of users do, at least I didn't have the installation files on the same drive like the game files), then I'd really like to know more about it in order to avoid it on the next BAT update.

I have had downloaded the folders and the installer into automatically downloading section of Win10, then moved them into separate folder, there started the installer and when trying to redirect expansion ino proper Sturmovik folder, it was not accepted even if I typed the address. So I went to copying of the expanded files and folders.
I agree that it would be better to redirect directly, so to say, but believe me, I had no other reason to copy files.
I verified the installer now again with the same result, at v.4.0.

Can we get a screenshot of the installer, with all values (target path) set, right before you try to install, plus a screenshot of the error message when the target folder is "not accepted"?

Perhaps I overlooked "create new folder" where the new path should be writen. As usual, my fault. My eyes are not so good as in youner age.
