Vickers Wellesley gunsight not functionnal
« on: January 15, 2023, 10:09:06 AM »

The gunsight of the Vickers Wellesley cannot be used because the hood of the engine is in the field of view .
( The plane has one MG in the right wing )

That's one of the dangers in using another plane's cockpit as a stand-in, in this case the early I-16. Either the sight would have to be raised or the whole cockpit could be lifted relative to the external model. The second expedient is the easiest, as it involves only altering some numbers in the cockpit's hier.him file.

Speaking of Vickers Wellesleys, I noticed a disembodied mg muzzle in the gunners position. Is this also correctable?  - BAT 4.2.2 Hotfix 4.         0.3 MB    2023.01.16 00-55-59.jpg                  Check                                            Error

If you have to make a list of the rotten things on this plane, don't forget to add :
- misplaced EF Engine hooks,
- missing shadows,
- square wheels,
- very rough shadows,
- damaged rudder very badly placed,
... for the most visible things ...  :D

A plane only a Mother could love... interesting looking though.
Limited in terms of missions unless North/East African campaigns.
I think the in-game model looks cartoonish.

Maybe it had iron sights rather than tube sight.

And the AI programming of this bomber is completely wrong , because when ennemy fighters are nearby , it has a behaviour like a fighter , doing acrobatic manoeuvers to engage them ...
