Perhaps this reveals my noobiness, but in your "add to .ini" files, what is the meaning of "NIL" and in one case simply "IL"?

    Here's the British 40 MM Bofors gun in action on one of my airfields.This is some fantastic stuff wingflyr "BIG ASS THANKS"

Fantastic picture the artillery and the soldiers looks great the mapping its excellent, but the position of the right soldier looks like a TOW for me.

Hey wngflyr, I found some mess-ups in your technics.ini when I noticed that some of my artillery pieces aren't loading on winter maps at all:

[Flak30_20mm]
Description  German machine gun Flak 30, 20mm
Icon         antiaircraft

// Models
MeshSummer   3do/Artillery/Germany/Flak30_20mm/Live.him
MeshSummerDamage   3do/Artillery/Germany/Flak30_20mm/Dead.sim
MeshWinter   3do/Artillery/Germany/Flak30_20mm_W/Live.him
MeshWinterDamage   3do/Artillery/Germany/Flak30_20mm_WDead.sim

the RED Line shows that you missed the slash / between the dead and 20mm_W words... therefore losing the path.. and now the Flak 30 does not load on winter maps at all. This is just to let the guys know.

Yeah, nice catch M8, bound to be a few wrinckles, nothing is perfect. However on that note, no new artilery has winter skins yet, therefore should come up stock. If you want to try something to test it, place an entire copy of the new [say the flak30_20mm] into its winter folder backup old then try. If it works you can even photoshop your own skins. Just a thought M8. I wll try to add winter skins soon. Cheers Wing

It WOULD show up stock if the slash was still there. That's how it was in default, and then you accidentally changed where the game is looking for it... and therefore it would not load at all. It wouldn't even load with the stock 3D model. If the slash was there it will load stock, and THEN if you made a folder in mods with that path-name it would load a new "whatever mod 3D." ;D Hope it clears things up. It's just other people who haven't noticed will have absolutely no Flak 30's on winter maps at all, and that might also cause mission start-up failures and errors.

Oh and I've already made myself temporary winter skins. Took the easy way out, but if you want I can post pics later.

Pics only for now. For all I know no one may like these since I kinda cheated when I made them :P







These were the only one's that I gave winter skins for, all the rest have the same winter model as summer model (it fits).

S~ Man I would love to have these for my game, but I am having the hardest time installing em, keep getting a 70% CTD, I don't think I am reading the installation instructions correctly, am I suppose to add the lines to the different ini. files, or change em to the ones provided, or replace em all?? Sorry if I seem like I am just a RE-RE, but I am stumped, can someone please clarify, or perhaps PM me with simple "hey dumb ass" kinda instructions, I know it's probably so simple, but I am not getting it, I am using UP2.1. Thnx in advance

In the WFlyr_Artillery mod there is the "Backup and replace these in technics.ini" file, the name says all.  ;)
so I replace mine with his, is that how it goes??
