Every Spitfire In The World project
« on: August 24, 2023, 06:00:25 PM »

Hello again!
About 2 years ago, I made a post about a project for making every Spit in the UK, which I did begin to do, but school got in the way and lost the time to do it. Now, I've gained more motivation and time, I will complete that project and add it to a new, more daunting, one.

Making Every Spitfire In the WORLD!

I have a good amount of the UK's spits already with some foreign spits dotted here and there, but nowhere near finished. I am using Wikipedia's List of surviving Spitfires as well as the List on Demobbed. I am also making an excel file with each aircraft listed and it's respective nation.

I will be making all spitfires including Airworthy, Museum/Static, Stored, Restoration and other states, just as long as it is on wiki or demobbed, and general "proof of existence".

Once complete, i will list all here with pictures from real life and the game.

EDIT 25/08/2024: with school and other things in the way, this project has been quite intermittent, but I've got back in the drive to do it again, though this may be short-lived as I start Year 10 soon.
Anyway, progress update with spitfires completed (30/08/24): 36/263 0_o

Hi Ed,

EVERY Spitfire you say? You'll be here for a while then lol as there are hundreds of examples across the globe in museums, let alone flying examples and I believe you covered a few of those already with your Eddfix releases?

Still, I wish you the best of luck mate.. it's going to be a huge file!

All the best,
BlackAce (Eric)

Hi Ed,

EVERY Spitfire you say? You'll be here for a while then lol as there are hundreds of examples across the globe in museums, let alone flying examples

yeah, according to Wikipedia there's 201 Spitfires across the world, and Demobbed has some other spits not listed too, so combined it'll be around 205-ish

I believe you covered a few of those already with your Eddfix releases?

Yeah and some other "unreleased" ones on my HDD which have never seen the light of sas1946 until now. Some spits i've made such as MV293 and PL983 need to be remade as their schemes have changed since I made them. Also, I will upload the pics on here with the fictional "EddFix" boxart I used to do.

And yes, it will be an absolute unit of a zip file. But thats what you get with putting 200 spitfires in a folder!  8)

Thanks,
Eddy T  ]cheers[

At least you've found what's needed for this project regarding a complete list of existing Spitfire's..

As I said you're going to be here for a while if you're making over 200 skins, it takes me ages to make at least 50...

Anyway if you need assistance with anything Spitfire related I can help.. :)

If you want skins of Spitfires in civil skins (not military/warbird schemes) I’ve already covered all I could find.  They’re in mexchiwa’s skins on Mission4Today (in several different skin packs)
