What and how do you fly now?
« on: September 10, 2023, 11:31:37 AM »

Hello by curiosity what type of mission do you fly now?

Mostly dynamic campaign like dcg or dgen?

Or more handcrafted mission ? If so mostly coming from others or do you create your own ?

If you do create your own how do you find inspiration for the mission and how do you keep interesting and not too much predictable?

Almost exclusively missions I make myself. Usually based around something I have been reading about. I like bombing, and outdated aircraft, and I have been using this site a lot recently:

http://www.211squadron.org/

If you select '1940' from the game menu and scroll towards the bottom of the page, you have a comprehensive record of the squadron operations flying the Blenheim I against the Italians: targets, dates, times, number of aircraft etc.

To add uncertainty I use a lot of C&C options, plus triggers. I also have evolved FMB techniques which minimise the amount of waypoints I need, and can usually set up a mission in about 10 minutes, then be flying it. Wouldn't suit everyone, but it suits me.

I am seeking for online missions , on Hyperlobby or if anybody gives the IP adress to join .
I prefer realistic settings ( no external views , no icons , no Ai planes ) .

I create missions , mostly " what if " or " alternate history "  missions .

With a unofficial worldwide group of friends we connect to Hyperlobby on Sunday and Tuesday at 9pm CET, the missions are semi-historical.

I create the missions, or downloaded from M4T mission4today  https://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=downloads3

Hyperlobby client downloaded from:    https://hyperfighter.sk/

Ultrapack 3.4 Patch 2 latest Hotfix, we're operating our own Server: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/board,237.0.html
Missions are 90% Coop, 10% PvP.
Every Sunday 3PM UTC (2PM UTC during DST) we host a "session" with fellow clowns from the FAC squad.
We have 684 missions (and more coming in every other week), stats page available here:

Most of my flying is playtesting dcg campaigns while making them  :D

Every once in a while I fly a whole dcg campaign, occasionally I also play scripted single missions.  I'm a 100 % offliner

I got missions for own use. Fictional but inspired from maps with historical dates of conflict, planes used, and perks

Own missions based on realistic alternate history (i.e. what if Japan and the US went to war in 1937 over the Panay incident).
