Hi, the recent update about pacific scenario of the IL2 next game broke my hopes in mediterranean theater which, IMHO, can be well recreated just in IL2 1946 (Clod? no SM79, no mediteranean war!),as well as other tens of theaters. However, I'm VR-addicted and I'm not able to come back to 2D sims... so I ask to this community if someone is working in a VR mod. I don't talk of VORPX, but a real VR mod.

Recently, miracles happen, eg. the unreal engine universal injector, or the incredible CrewChief mod for GTR2,a 2006 game based on a 2004 engine. Even X-Wing Alliance (1999!) got a great VR mod.

I tried with opentrack and depth3d with HTC vive. (these programs are free)
It's a half problem-solving, but works fine.
You need to adjust the FOV and it is just a projected screen which can be bend in 3D.
I think anybody who want to make their IL-2 1946 fully VR operated (without vorpX) need to do a lot of research.
I am continuously trying to solve the problem, once it will be stable, I will post it.

Thanks. I'm not interested in cinema-like 3d, I tried sometime ago with a steam app (dont remember the name), it worked well but I really don't like the feeling. I have nothing against vorpx, but I read that is not playable in full 3d, but just in 2d... however I'll be glad to try your finds when ready!
