Default mini map change

Hi all! forced in bed due to serious back pain I was thinking about something that has been bothering me for a while. That is the default map we get everytime we call for the minimap. I don't need the default one but rather the one with the grid. Unfortunately I always have to use my mouse and scroll in order to get the one I need. would it be possible to change this in conf.ini or a mod with the same goal?

I concur but I believe this was a change due to the NG-Map mod which IMHO was unrealistic.  i.e. every military map has grids on it of some kind.

I don't think it can be changed without changing the mod itself but I'll defer to the experts.
