Since the release of the BAT packs I never installed any "external" plane anymore. But now there are several planes that are still not included in BAT that are worth to have and fly, my question is:

Are there more BAT packs planned to be released?

I'm not asking for a release soon or anything, simply curious to now If I should wait or start relearning how to install new planes.

It's always useful to learn how to install new aircraft in a pack.
And above all, it will allow you to test these "new aircraft" that tempt you.

As far as I am aware, there are no imminent updates planned. Andy is still around, but hasn't posted for many months. Also, I usually do the ship add-on part of any update, and he has not contacted me regarding that. So nothing anytime soon, I would suspect.

Not as far as I know. I might put a simple tutorial together, as quite a few people seem unsure of how to go about it safely (although it is fairly straightforward). Would there be any interest in that?

Also, there are my two armour upgrade packs for BAT which I compiled some time ago - you can find them on page three of this BAT Lounge section.

I do have some ships which I can add, but I have not bothered so far as things seem to have gone a bit quiet on the forum maritime wise, so I was unsure whether there was sufficient interest. A few nice ships, actually.

I would rather move your new armour to the appropriate place in the forum so it will grab more attention

As far as ship are concerned please go ahead and post regardless if people ask for it or not. I am sure that you will have a good number of people interested.

Finally several members asked when the next BAT release will take place. You need to be aware that simply releasing an hotfix or adding few planes require a lot of work in term of testing, ensuring that no conflicts are generated that you don't create complicated dependencies and so forth. For all this to happen in addition to the usual suspects we need a good number of good willing and competent people ready to support and take over substantial tasks. So if this support don't materialize I am afraid that there will be the usual two weeks to wait.

I don't know if I qualify as a proficiency tester but I'm willing to collaborate. I always keep a ckean 4.2.2 hotfx 4 install for testing.

@FrankieK, what sill set(s) are you looking for in assistants? Do you need Java coders, testers, integrators, all of the above?

Please let me clarify that for the time being I am not working at a BAT update as I am really not up to the task. I am just trying to support some tweaking and solving a few specific issues. In my remarks I was just echoing considerations made time back by Vampirepilot.

Like you  I would be available to help but I feel that there is a need for somebody with extensive knowledge of the pack (far better than mine) that could coordinate these efforts and naturally I wouldn't push anybody as I know how demanding this task would be

Let see if we can generate sufficient support and enthusiasm to make things happen
