DE speech query
« on: February 11, 2024, 01:22:52 PM »

So me, in my Fw190 are flying along and engaging in combat and over the radio I hear something like " Balke Balke".
I don't remember hear that voice snippet before.

Did I hear it right?
What is the phrase being said?

Thanks

Hi!
I guess what you've heard was "Pauke-Pauke" (drum-drum); that's the order to attack.

For further information visit

https://www.luftarchiv.de/

go to item "Glossar". There are abbreviations used by the Luftwaffe and half way down that site "Funkverkehr" (radio traffic), where most of the special Luftwaffe radio vocabuary ist explained.
OK, that site is German - you can let it translate to your language by a service of your choice.

Have a nice day,
