The purpose of the camouflage is to hide the plane .
Your noticing proves that IL2 1946 is a realistic flight simulator .

Not really, the movent of an object would be easy to see even with a dark green camo over some trees.
In IL2, basically, the green camo will stay only 1 color, and the trees will stay 1 color.
In real life you have a moving object with changing lighting somewhat going across stationary trees, the movement would make it easier to pick out if you were looking in its direction.
Also, in real life you can see aircraft way farther away than in IL2. Planes that are barely visible in real life, like a pixel in IL2, you can still pick out color schemes, like a red tail or something. If you work in aviation where you have to see what aircraft are coming in it becomes normal.
It would work best if the pixel in IL2 would have a twinkle effect between light and dark shade. Otherwise they should be a lot more contrasting to the terrain. Like green should be a lighter green as 1 pixel.
