I typically sit with my face no farther from the screen than the screen is wide. With my reading glasses to enjoy relaxed focus (I've gotten a bit farsighted with age), there is a magnification factor of about 1.1X, which causes the screen to appear a bit larger still. The result is improved ability to see finer details, as well as increased immersion.

If anyone has their face two or more screen widths distant from the screen, they may be failing to see all detail. I've seen many cases where peeps have a small monitor and/or have the screen several screen widths distant.

I'd be curious to know hoe folk are set up in this respect.

For me, the distance to the screen is about 1.5 of the screen width. But I do move closer when looking for ground targets or on the final approach to the field in poor visibility.
