How do I do aerial refueling with The Jet Age (MP)

So I am flying a tanker, the fuel boom comes down, my brother flies behind me and he opens the refueling port. Flies close and nothing happens. He was using an F-16 and I was using the KC-135R Boom (not drogue). I can't seem to find any info on the subject.

Pilot of the receiving aircraft has to attach their plane to the tanker when they are close, there is a key-bind for this.
