Hi mates!

I was looking at good day by day (possibly online because I'm short of money lately) source about USN air and sea operation in Pacific where I can find info about daily A2A and A2S engagements....

Like this I can give these example of books that anyway I own:

2nd Tactical Air force (books)
History of Mediterranean Air War (books)
Day Fighters in defence of the Reich (book)

Thnaks in advance for your help!

For daily shipping action I suggest The War at Sea by Rohwer Hummelchen in two volumes. An older book that you may find on ebay at a decent price.

There is a three volume set by Douglas E Campbell called US Navy, Marine Corps, and US Coast Guard Aircraft lost during WW2. This is a ship by ship description rather than a daily chronology but still helpful. it may even be available as a PDF file. Check that with the publisher Syneca Research Group.

The First Team and the follow up volume Guadalcanal are excellent reads too.

Whether you agree with Morrison's take or not , this set is a really thorough start.

Eric Hammel wrote 'Air War Pacific Chronology 1941 to 45' published by Pacifica Press. It gives the daily battles involving USAAF, USN, USMC and AVG. The individual units are not always stated but at least all the battles are mentioned. A useful starting point.

He published a similar volume on the ETO theatre as well.
