DCG with real number of planes
« on: June 28, 2024, 03:56:46 AM »

Hi,

I'm curious about DCG. Is it possible to limit spawning planes to specified number of each type? To be more specific, I'm thinking about campaigns with countries, which had small air forces for example Finland or Netherland during WWII. And which the number of each type planes will decrease while as losses occur?

No, not directly. However, you can adjust the amount of aircraft in a squadron using MaxPlanes timetable command. That will do the trick.

For instance: in the beginning of the Winter War Lentolaivue 26 had 10 Bristol Bulldogs. You can set the maximum number of LeLv 26 to 10 usung MaxPlanes command in timetable. If one Bullldog of Lelv 26 gets shot down (or destroyed on ground) , then the LeLv 26 has only 9 Bulldogs left. If Airplane Resupply Rate (or something like that, I'm away from my main computer right now) in DCG main panel is set to 0/squadron/week for Finland, then the amount of Bulldogs stays at 9 untin more of them are destroyed.

Note that if there are more than one squadrobn ased on same airfield n and one of the static aircraft parked on the field gets destroyed the loss is randomly reduced from one of the squadrons.
