AM I CRAZY?? (MAYBE)
« on: July 12, 2024, 07:27:13 AM »

HI Everyone!

SO.... Hear me out....

Maybe its Mandela Effect... but I don't think so.

I've been looking for information on Fokker Eindeckers. I've already found a ton of info, which is great! I never realized how many "variants" there were during production. Some of them even went to factory for repair and came back to the squadron changed in some way for testing...  ;D

Unfortunately, what I CANT find.... but I am ALMOST 100% CERTAIN I have seen before, is info on an Eindecker with a Daimler In-line engine fitted. I've seen the picture. It was on the ground, photo taken from the left front quarter angle.

I KNOW this aircraft existed but its as if all memory of it has fallen off of Google. Between pulling my hair out, I even doubted myself and tried looking for it among the Pfalz Eindeckers but no luck there either....

Does anyone know what I'm remembering? Or where I can find this info on this unusual Eindecker variant?

Thanks in advance!
Micah

Thanks Mick!

Unfortunately I have almost all of this info already. It's the in-line fitted experiment that I can't find.

I'll keep digging though!

That's quite interesting but it isn't what I was thinking of unfortunately.

Thanks for trying. I'm over here wracking my brain to remember WHERE i saw that picture...
