True air speed on FMB
« on: July 23, 2024, 01:50:24 PM »

Hello everyone. I would like to know if there is any way or mod in which the missions and the flight of the planes can be configured with the true speeds. This would help a lot when having several groups in the air at the same time, with different indicated speeds, but reaching the correct WP at the same time. I have seen a YT video in which they are working on a mod and, apparently, they have achieved it.

Hello,
First: in FMB you get information about time for every waypoint, you can modify speeds and distances as you need;
Second: Either way, you will use historically real cruising speeds, so you will calculate all the time… you can use something very easy in most cases…

Third: for fighter-escorts you can set friendly bombers as target for fighters, they will escort even slower planes.
You will have much fun with FMB, I hope so  :)

Yes, "true airspeed" will be an available setting in FMB, when you use the "Zonk mod". It's still WIP and not released yet.

Yes, but the publicly available versions are rudimentary, compared to the current wip version.
