When I changed the parameters of the Mat file at my disposal, it became a handle color similar to natural color.

The discomfort in the eyes is much less.

I'll try to upload as a screenshot.

f anyone needs, download and try to test it.

If you don't like it, throw it away, and if you see anything wrong, please correct it yourself..... ;) :-* :P

As for me I do prefer your first version, it seems more close to the real stuff, but of course it's just my opinion. As a matter of fact I would love to have those Meshes extended to all the canopy. But before you kill me... I know it's a different task all together.
Thanks for what you're doing!

Do you mean my first screenshot version (#22) ?

You can change the handle.mat file for that, of course, you did so !!

And for SeaHurricane_MkII, copy the downloaded file and rename it "SeaHurricaneMkII".

Then, SeaHurricane_MkIIC~D is solved.

This automatically solves the problem of not opening the cockpit in the inside cockpit on SeaHurricane_MkII BAT Stock ver.

If you expand the Hurricane_MKI in this way, it will probably work well.

However, I think that the cockpit format is different depending on the flight model.

Therefore, it will be meaningful to use a mixture of various cockpit files (ex: Barnesy ver,  genXgamer ver, Dimon ver etc).

Thank you.

PS : when you copy and rename it as "SeaHurricaneMkII", SEAHURRICANE2.him in the folder is unnecessary, so you can delete it.

Back in 2016 I did some work on the Hurri canopy, primarily to model the armored glass frame a bit more accurately. This was before I had got my hands on the sliding canopy mod, with the original, stock canopy being in one piece, as seen here. After obtaining the sliding canopy mod some time later, I shelved this, intending to get round to putting it back into use. The old 2D cut-out handles are present, white because the folder I'm loading this model from is missing the handle texture. The same goes for the bunch of nuts around the perimeter of the front frame.

Given the ubiquity and wide use of the older Hurri cockpits, it would be worthwhile to complete this as the now two separate canopy elements. Incorporating Shane's 3D handles of course. And adding a greenish tint for the armored glass.

Hi Glenn

This would be great!
After people mentioning Dr. Strangelove's cockpit I chased it up thinking I could incorporate my handles to it.
I would much rather add my handles to your work, any alterations let me know.
I can make them even thicker if that's what people want, however the angle I'm happy with (another pic below).

Last night I did Sea Hurricane handles after Epervier brought it up, here's a few issues I ran into that I hope people can confirm (B.A.T.).

One Sea Hurricane MkI has no handles.
Both Sea Hurricane MkII's the canopy doesn't open.
Cannot dump Sea Hurricane MkI's cockpit.
Sea Hurricane MkII's have very small textures - something like 64 x 128.

Dimon's Hurri Cockpit...

Unfortunately, this cockpit is not expandable, so it cannot be used universally.

But we can use it as a subject of study.

The angle of the handles done by genXgamer is correct, but from the pilot's perspective they seem to be too flat and hard to see. I suggest 'spoiling' the correct original so that it looks better.
What do you think?

Only the right handle has been changed

Both handles have been moved

It's good to see from the cockpit.

In fact, I tried this angle, but I gave up because it was too hard for me.
