No joy with UP Kopf.  Clicking Start at the Selector and it just sits there. DEP is not the issue. That said, I'm not sure I have the latest and greatest version of UP so will try to find the latest version, DL that and try again.

Installed UP Cassie over a clean 4.12 version but still no joy.....Selector flickers when I click Start but then nothing.
Clearly I screwed up somewhere but not sure what I did.  I read the Selector manual to make sure but can't see what I'm doing wrong.
DEP is default and I have HSFX and BAT on the same drive, they run with no problems (although there's no Selector involved).
I tried starting the game directly with IL2fb.exe but nothing happens.
Any assistance is appreciated.
cheers,
Tomoose

Did you install UP as advised in this thread?

If you did, I suggest to either try another clean reinstall or ask for support there:

Perhaps it is just a matter of screen resolution .
If the resolution settings in the " conf " file are higher than the actual resolution of your screen , the game will not launch .

I see what I did wrong.  I assumed I needed a clean 4.12 but the instructions indicate 4.10........d'oh.

I'll stick with HSFX and BAT for now.

thanks again for the assistance.

UP3.4 can work with any IL-2 version up to 4.12.2 I have a perfect working UP3.4 installed in this way. It was the old UP3 RC 4 that was working only with 4.10

Before giving up let's try a few tricks.

The first one is to verify if your stock version is working so just  use the selector select stock and launch. If stock is also not launching then the problem is in your base install.

Second trick: in the Ultrapack 3.4 main folder there is a file called "up3.4_factory_reset.cmd" which, when you run it, should reset your game to pure stock conditions.

Finally if you decide to reinstall make sure that you use the Ultrapack 3.4 Superpack (31 files to be downloaded) the other ultrapack install packs in the download page are for user that have previous UP versions

Frankiek;
I installed the UP Cassie Superpack over a clean 4.12.  Ran Stock....no joy.....Selector screen flickers but remains and nothing else.  Tried the up3.4_factory_reset.cmd but no difference.

I'll delete everything and re-install and try your steps again just to make sure.

thanks.

Clean reinstall is the best option as it is clear that something was wrong in your 4.12.2 stock install my advice would be to check if stock version works ok before installing the ultrapack Cassie superpack
