My build of Il-2 4.12.2 + VPmodpack, I am a Russian speaker and the build was in Russian, but after installing several mods during the flight in the lower left corner of the monitor the inscriptions about the speed, altitude and course became in English, also in the lower right corner the notifications about the release and retraction of the flaps and chassis also became in English. Everything else in the game is in Russian, except for the control settings. In the config. ini there is a location ru. I tried to replace the config. ini, but it did not help, I tried to disable all the latest mods, it did not help. Tell me how to return the Russian language ??

I am quite sure that you must have inadvertently overwritten some of the _ru.properties files in the 18n folder. Files in this folders help display the interfaces like the control sections or the qmb in the different languages. These files after the name they all have an indication of the language: _ru, _de, _en etc etc. As the initial mod tools only worked with the russian version to have everything displayed back in English these _ru.properties files kept the russian extension but content inside was translated in english.
Solution would be to check your russian properties files discover the faulty ones and overwrite them with original russian files. This should be fairly easy to do. Sorry but i am using my phone so it is not easy to elaborate more.

The file for the controls is: controls.properties and for the speed bar is the: hud_log.properties

you should check in this folder #SAS\STD\I18n or any mod that has an I18N folder inside. I suspect that it is the !SAS_Engine_mod that has originated the issue 

I have attached an example of the files you need to look that are taken from the stock 4.09 files.sfs as this is the only russian version that I have. But you should look for the 4.12.2 version that introduced additional controls and hud log messages.

Yupp, customising is very important for everything else than English in those Files.
I have two mother tounges, German & Hungarian. Adapted these myself easilly.
Some German/Hungarian Types needed conversion to UTF-8, the native IL-2 1946 display style
to pop up ingame correctly.

You can use online Character/Text to UTF-8 converters.
