I like the increased details!

The color I did find to be a bit dull and on the cooler color temperature side for my own tastes. I've added a good amount of yellow and darkened the textures. In this screenie the weather is hazy and the time is 15:00. My location is a bit east of Mount Pinatubo, looking south. The light colored strip is Clark Field no. 1.

Another oddity are the bands of forest-free terrain that run along a very specific height contour. This artifact looks to be a carry-over from the first version of the map. I'm filling in these artificial-looking gaps with forest cover.

Thanks to all!  :)

@Frankiek
Probably not but i think the map is worth to make a new one. I also have to make later a complete new (DCG) Kampagne... :-|

@WxTech
Sure, create a new skin for the map! I had oriented a bit after the google maps views.. ;D

I will probably create later a "modded" version of the 42-44 map. It will add an island called "Noemfoor" to the bottom right corner (In real positioned near Biak). Would be perfect for a “heavy bomber campaign where the bombers could also take off and land ... bat for now i will take a break of il2!

New Download Link in the first post to a newer version of the maps!

Changes v2:
I removed some misplaced Objects and added a new ed_map_t to the map folder!
And please pay attention of the renamed map folder and the resulting new all.ini entries!

If you have already created a .mis file with the older version of the map simple change the upper MAP entry of the file
from

dlv_Philippines42_45/...
to
dlv_Philippines41_45/...

and the mission should load with the updated map!
Thanks!

3 files have been integrated into one, and the map name has been changed logically.

I've done to fixing and it works fine.

Many thank you.

There will be another update in the next few days! I'm still finding misplaced objects and I'm also building Angaur Airfield on the lower-eastern edge of the 42-44' & 45' maps!

Angaur Island is part of the Palau Islands and was developed into a massive airfield for heavy bombers after the Americans conquered the archipelago.
The first B-24s were stationed there at the end of September 1944 and F4Us from VMF squadrons were also active there (Pacific Wrecks info).
For example, Targets around Manila were attacked from there before the Invasion of Leyte.
