Hi Seppel,
I have a problem with running this map in both variants, what should the entry be in all, is Gaule Gaule/load.ini correct?

Best Regards,

-> Piotrek:

Hi Piotr!

Yes, it should be the variant you wrote.
But in the end, you can name the folder as you want.

By the way:
How is your map project, we were working on, going?

Hi Sebastian, Thanks for your reply, unfortunately the map doesn't work, I'll keep trying,

I would really like to finish the map project I started, but work and other obligations don't leave me much time for hobbies, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it :-[,
However, I would be very happy if this map was finished by an experienced map maker like you Sebastian,
if you would like to you have my full support in this matter,

Mh .. that is strange!
Reuter did have the same problem, then, out of a sudden, the map worked. :-)
Maybe he can help out??
What exactly is shown, when you start to open the map?

Thanks for the flowers, concerning your map project!!
Unfortunately I must inform you, that my map building career is over!
It ended with the finishing of my ColdWar Baltic Sea map!
I really love map building, but it is sooo time consuming! With shift working and two little children it is not possible for me. Maps would last years!
AND I totally reduced and missed FLYING IL-2 due to map building. And this is what I love more!
But you can always write me for questions!!

And: There are so many map builders here, all better than me! There MUST be someone, who is willing to finish your map! :-)
COME ON FELLOWS!

Do widzenia! :)

this is a fairly well-known error :
[15:18:24] section [MAP2D] not found in ‘maps/Gaule/load.ini
I checked the file structure but everything is correct,

I never was very good in these "inner-il2-things".
I am very sorry.

Can anyone help out?

For my part, it was a path problem leading to the textures in load.in. Two of the textures led to the folder " autumn " and not " summer ". I checked the file name but not what was there before.

I replaced the download link, due to a virus warning!?

-> Piotrek: What can I say.
I just tried the map on my BAT 4.3 and it loaded instantly.
I do not have any further textures installed.
It CAN only be a matter of textures.

I could not save a mission on this map, which is strange, because this should be a result of missing objects - but there are no objects in this WIPmap!?

I also was able to launch the map in UP3.4, AFTER I replaced the most of the load.ini by parts of the load.ini from my little Ruegen map. (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,73083.msg794801.html#msg794801)
Interesting fact is, that HERE I CAN save missions.

So Piotrek, the only thing I can offer to help you is, IF you really interested in this WIPmap:
Try to run the Ruegen map. (it should, at it is the "same" load.ini as BalticSea, which is IN the game now)
If it works, start to replace the sections in the Gaul load.ini by the same parts from Ruegen, until you find the problem.
(make sure, that it is only THE ONE line in the file).

This might be a dummy method to experienced users, but I AM a dummy with those things, sorry.

Thank you for suggestion and help , I haven't had a chance to try it out yet I will try it this weekend,
Ruegen map works, but I can't save the mission, I haven't checked yet if it's the lack of textures or objects,

Best Regards,
Piotrek
