Is it possible? I don't see a way to un-install it.
No offense against it but it does take up a lot of space. I have BAT
coppied to an ext-drive and now I want to uninstall
it from my pc to make room for a flight sim I want to download.
Thought about just deleting it, but it doesn't feel right.
Should I just go ahead and delete it?

Actually, there is no uninstall option built in. You have to delete the game install, yes.

As the most package installation start from a vanilla game (4.12 , 4.13 and so on) I suggest (if you have enough space in the HDD/SSD) to have a copy of it to repair/rebuild/restore quickly....

Good idea, I think I'll do that. Install a fresh untouched copy of IL2  somewhere before the CD is no longer able to function.
