Is there a way to use my mouse as a joystick?

there was an old program that I used in Win XP to do this. I am not sure it will work these days check my post here where you will find a download link.

I second Frankiek.
Used this 2022-2024, at which point I built a stick from a set of plans & 3d printer (you will get a lot more enjoyment out of the game).
IIRC i had to turn the computer to test mode (no driver signature required) to get it to recognize the drivers.

Never used it a ton with a mouse, (discovered it only a month or two back) but you may like Opentrack/AI track from Github. Uses a camera (i use a laptop) to track your head and translate that to motion, saves your hands dancing on the keyboard quite as much.
