Another terribly sad blow to the IL2 community.
Uzin made wonderful maps of interesting and usually overlooked places.
He was always interested in new ideas and information , and he was truly
interested in the history that these represented.
A quiet sense of humour , and appreciation for the thoughts of others made
threads about his projects communal and positive.
My condolences to his family and friends outside of IL2.
I am sure they will miss him in ways which we here have not been privy to ,
and I am sad that we will not have his gentle presence in the first person any more.
I am happy , though , that his work will remain , and we can think of him as we fly over
his detailed and thorough maps.
Salut Friend !

Ivan was a talented man, it’s a pity that he is no longer with us.

And, as you can see, Ivan worked with mods until the end.
My condolences to his relatives and friends.
Rest in peace.

In addition to being a talented and conscientious map builder, Ivan was very generous with his time. He will be missed by us all.
