Sad news about Uzin
« Reply #1 on: December 22, 2024, 12:36:23 AM »

Dear all, unfortunately I've recently received sad e-mail from Uzin's wife Anna (see English version of the text below):

Quote
Hello,
in my husband's mail I found your e-mail with a positive response to the
maps that my husband created for your community. Therefore, I have to tell
you very sad news. The map he sent in mid-September was the last one,
because my husband died on September 26, 2024.
I wish you that his work will serve you and bring you joy. In the coming
years, I wish you good health, happiness, the joy of flying and a safe
journey through life.
Best regards
Ivan's (Uzin) wife Anna

I'll remember Ivan as good comrade and talent map-maker.
His input in virtual historical reconstruction is really outstanding.
Please accept my deep condolences everyone, who knew him.
RIP, Ivan. :-(

R.I.P. mate

Your maps brought joy to many and will for years to come.
Thanks to his wife Anna for making us aware so we can pay our respects, sadly this doesn't always happen and we're left wondering "what ever happened to?".

Indeed very sad news, I worked with Ivan on some of his projects, a very nice guy and certainly committed to his art.

I send my deepest condolences to Anna and his family and friends.

Take care  and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Uzin was a very positive, nice person and a talented map maker, we corresponded during the creation of the Lviv map,
one of those many people who will be missed on this forum,
Rest in peace my friend, may you dream of your homtown Perečín,
Sincere condolences to his wife Anna, closest family and friends.

So sorry to hear this news. Condolences to the family. Uzin was another great contributor to this sim who will be sorely missed. I thoroughly enjoyed flying over his maps.
