I can rule out Point 2, as all files are in one folder.

Also there was not a second window / a second icon in the task bar.

I did not check teh files yet, but IF Part 2 and 3 had been runnig, shouldn't the game than start as HSFX?
It keeps starting as 4.11.1.

Maybe you have some fancy antivirus of sorts running that keeps the installer part 1 from spawning the required processes for part 2 and 3.
I have just cross-checked with the files from mega.nz and the installation process went flawlessly.

For HSFX6 to launch you need to activate History Mod in JSGME

Mh ... I indeed get warnings during the download of the .exe files.
But I can not imagine of a special antivirus program.

I know the JSGME, but this file is not in the folder after the install run.

Just temporarily disable your AV before launching the install

There is no AV I could switch off. 

I tried a lot by myself and all of you kind suggestions - nothing worked.

I do not understand that.
So, is it maybe because of 4.12 at all?
But with the sfs file you gave me, the version now is shoen es 4.11.1 ..

difficult to say however considering that you have a working install of HSFX7 I can provide you with the buildconf.ini from that version and you can try to make it work as a mapbuilder. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't. Just make sure that is clean version of HSFX7 without added mods to avoid possible conflicts

Mh thsnks for that Frankiek, but  I tried that first!
I emptied (?) the jsgme from everything but hsfx.
It won't launch.
Only with expert mode on the game runs.

But after changing the critical files to make it a map editor, it doe not launch again.

This is the reason why I wanted a "new" clean hsfx 6 in the first place

It is a pain in the as.

I am forced to run on Win10 because of some trouble...
Can this cause trouble?
