MS.406C1 from GCIII/6,Battle of France UPDATE!
« on: October 17, 2024, 03:11:48 PM »

Hello to all!
I finished the first skinpack for GCIII/6 6 Escadrilles. The next one will be for 5 Escadrilles. The skins are semi-historical, maybe I didn't succeed in reproducing the camouflage but I think it looks good, in the end... I started working on the template by IMME, to whom I thank for your work. I used skins made by Hayate, Leperemagloire and Macwan for comparison. Thank you gentlemen for your work. Hayate left behind valuable skins (R.I.P.). I wish you good hunting and smooth landings!

Hello,everyone!
I am preparing a skinpack for MS.406 from GCIII/6, from the Battle of France, 1940. I made the first two skins for which I had references. Each squadron will have 6 skins. They will be non-historical, that is, similar to the two. The hard part is done, all that remains is to add the others. I'm satisfied, I hope you like it too.
All the best!

Hi Wolf
Your skins sound very good.
Why do you say it's non-historical ? You say you work from some references. I'm not a specialist of this period but at least, the skins seem plausible and credible.
Thanks for that work.

Hi,Chrival!
The numbers on the plane, the emblem of the squadrons are historical. But the color representation may differ from eye to eye. I read that the basic French camouflage colors were dark gray, khaki and a shade of brown. Honestly, I reproduced the colors after my taste. Maybe the lines of the camouflage are not identical to those of the real plane. So I say that they are similar to the historical ones, with reservations. But I'm glad if you like it! ;D

All the best!

Another one took off. I found more photos than I hoped for. Some are just wrecks, but something still emerges from them.

It appears that there is a problem with posting the images.
No problem.
