Grumman F9F Panther
« on: November 10, 2024, 03:55:24 PM »

~S~
I am building a carrier practice map and wanted to fly the Grumman F9F Panther.  However I cannot find it in the aircraft list.
Question to you, is the Grumman F9F Panther available in the 4.0v?

I am in the BAT 4.0 WAW.   Just wanted the IL2 1946 game with the updated game files.   Love the 4.0 with the 5.0m.

I don't think the panther is in #WAW, you'll find it in #JTW

... which you will only get with 4.1

And by all means. Get the latest updates 4.2 and higher. It brings you fixes and improvements. Not just new content. Resting on a several year old outdated  4.0 gains you nothing at all.

I think the FJ-3M (Navalized F-86 Sabre) is available as a (post Korea) carrier capable jet... as is the Cougar .....  if you need something to practice landings with. There are also loads of skins available for FJ-3M too. I made that mod several years ago now,  so ( as is the case with most of my mods) it should be in BAT somewhere.

It is all there. Just in JTW module.

WAW goes up to the FJ-1 Fury as a naval jet nowadays, but not in this early version of BAT of his, iirc.

My apologies for not answering earlier, and thankyou all for everything posted.
I have tried the BAT mod some time ago and could never get it to work right lol.   So I have come back and stuck with the 4.0 as a start base, + the Gents I fly with time to warm up to installing the BAT 4.0.

Again thanks and may you all keep the air speed up :)
