 I have a clean install with the huge BAT mod installed. I can play single missions. But when I try to start a new career, as soon as I click start, the game freezes, and the screen flickering like crazy. I have to end the game in Task Manager. I have tried going into compatibility and ticking the dpi option still having the same issue. Any help???
Also if someone plays with an Xbox controller and has key binds let me know I don't have a proper joystick but still like playing simulators it's very difficult with a mouse and keyboard

I think I know what you mean, but this is not a flickering. It is the career mode crashing.
This happens usually, when the career tries to access some files that are not in place (like a moved/or deleted campaign folder for example).

We need more info on your specifics.

-Make a screenshot before you make the click that triggers the "flicker"
-Post your log file of the event

Did you copy your "pilot" from a previous install? Then create a new one.

I assume you talk about dynamic careers:  I do assume you have DGEN for BAT installed. If not, do so.

Hello these are the images, also I noticed that this problem is only occuring in the jet war era when I play the same campaign in world at war module nothing happens and the game runs fine.

Sorry, but "Career Mode" , or dynamic campaign mode only works in WAW module, as it is inherited from the original game. But install the BAT Dgen pack, offered in the WAW mission section here.
For DOF, TGA and JTW modules, only static campaigns can be used.

For your controllers, this worked for me for a couple of years....emulator so you can fly with your mouse, like a stick...
