Something that could make a cool addition to the game would be a 'container train' / a train carrying ISO containers, such as Maersk, perhaps connected to the diesel engine?

Also, is there a maximum length to trains in the game, since I know some real life freight trains can have up to 50+ carriages?

Yes, a container train would be nice, particularly as we already have a container ship and road trucks.

I suspect that there is no limit to train length, but the problems re RAM and a long train turning at bends or crossing bridges should be obvious.

You could always try making an enormous train and report back - it is essentially a convoy - you can add as many extra carriages to a train in chief.ini as you like and test it out. If you do, need i say 'back up the .ini first'?
