issues using PILOTS Mod on my BAT 4.2.3
« on: December 06, 2024, 10:44:42 AM »

Hallo,
i have installed BAT 4.2.3 and i have added the PILOTS Mod.

Well,
i have noted some issues:
1. On QMB some planes do not appear ( e.g Tu-2S or Li-2 )

https://www.mediafire.com/file/qe8yvnbpoai7e2u/log.txt/file

2. other planes involved on the QMB mission are not loaded on the game

https://www.mediafire.com/file/yyzkvebx7r4rz70/log1.txt/file

I have searched the issues following the LOG instructions, i mean looking for the meshs involved,  and i have found the troubles on PILOT mod.

I have disabled the folder corresponding to the planes inside the Pilot Mod and the issue have  disappeared.

So, i wonder if it would be possible to find a solution to these issues because it is a very great pity to loose Ranwers Pilots.

Best regards

I'm afraid there's no soluce.
Pilot's mods are using plane's 3do.
There are uncompatibilities  issues with aircraft's stock versions or with OTHER mods (added to BAT or included ).
Try to rename PILOT'S mod folders to be loaded LATE ans disappeared planes will come back (WITH STOCK PILOTS)

Or you can try to delete from the pilot mod just the folders with the problematic planes in this way you get back the plane that disappear and still have a good number of planes with the new pilots

Dandolo,
The Ranwers Pilots Mods offer Help on integration.
Be precise which Pilot Model, add correct air.ini Line etc. such Technical stuff is relevant,
rather than saying sth.!!! is not working.
Sth. can be a Penguin or Donut.
At any case, you need to stick to the Mod Posts there to learn their integration.
There are Folks dealing with the devotion to these Mods. How to, do not be afraid.
This integration comes with learning using Dump Files from your BAT
and how to apply the Pilot correctly. Applying, Fixing this is first impossible,
after the first success, you did it, and have learned Modding.
Give it a try.

Hallo.
Thanks for replay and possible solutions.
About help on integration,  are they these?
===========
The mod affects default aircraft as well as those modified by Jerro and Barnesy. If a plane does not work, remove the directory from the planes folder. I recommend using this mod with the previous pilots packs.
Oxy mask made by Barnesy - thanks
Enjoy
=============
I will report all details needed as air.ini and Pilots mod as soon it will be possible.

I would ilke to understand what it means "sth" to improve my english knowledge.

And now some considerations

I have the huge respect to whom creates a mod because i know, on my poor side, what it means to create a mod. I have spent 1 year to create the SHIUN with the help of my Mentor Zflyer48 , CWATSON and the Master Vampire pilot,  and that work was not easy.
I know i am not a Master, i am a rookie and i have a lot to learn.
But please, also the Masters should be have empathy to whom is approaching to a very difficult passion.
I have started to be a modder because noone Modders wanted to create the planes i liked.
And i will never forget the poor of empathy with i received the rejection to my kind request.
So i have learnt,  i have  done the planes i liked and others  to satisfy the desires of others Peoples such it has been for the FC 20 Fiat Cansa .

This could make greater the number of people interested to help IL2 to survive .

Sometimes i ask to me why i should continue to create mods.

Well , i have finished with this my talk.

... there is a hier.him with each Ranwers Pilot ...  ;)

... so, if Ranwers used a different version of a plane, than the one in your game, there could be a conflict ...  :-X

This is what your log says about the Tu-2S for ex :

WARNING: object '3DO/Plane/Tu-2S/hier.him' of class 'HIM' not loaded
INTERNAL ERROR: HierMeshObj: Can't load HIM 3DO/Plane/Tu-2S/hier.him

Hallo Mick.
I have post the log for this reason.
Like You i have found this errore and more in details, i have found that some meshs (e.g. : Can't load mesh 3DO/Plane/Tu-2S/RUS.msh ) are not on the Planes mods embedded on my Bat 4.2.3. .
So i Need to under stand what i am doing wrong.
I think i have followed the instructions.  Or, on the other side, i am trying to use pilots mod where they cannot works.

Man thanks Mick for your kind replay.

Those hier.hims are simply for different versions of those planes. Or customized ones or whatever. Just not whatever is in BAT under that plane name.

I mean, you know how a hier.him works. You are a modder.

...sorry, I don't have any Russian plane in my game, but what happens if you comment out that RUS.msh in the hier.him, like that (double slash) :

//[RUS]
Mesh RUS
Parent CF_D0
Attaching 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 -5.04067 -0.281121 -0.247146

Thanks Vampire.
Mick, i should do for all meshs not found. As Vampire has written , Those hier.hims are simply for different versions of those planes.

All Is clear for me.
Many thanks for your support.
