Is NG-HUD v3.6.1 compatible with UP v3.4 Cassie
« on: December 08, 2024, 12:23:15 PM »

As the thread title states, is NG-HUD v3.6.1 compatible with UP v3.4 Cassie?

I added it to the jsgmemods folder and then "activated" it with JSGME, but it's not working.

I haven't been able to get either ngHUD nor ngMAP to work with UltraPack 3.4.  Both cause a CTD upon launch, most likely due to incompatibilities between V4.10 and V4.12.2 class files.
Both would be great additions to UltraPack for those of us who enjoy offline campaigning in a more compact format than BAT, especially since Mike and other developers have done so much to improve these UltraPack releases.

Hmmm...  I haven't had any problems running the sim with NG-HUD activated through JSGME, it just doesn't work. I've flown several QMB missions with it and it plays fine. Just no added HUD features.

I agree it would be great if it did work, for offline play.

Is there a way to add a dark background frame behind the speed bar display to make the white lettering easier to read?  Or change the font color to something more visible?

We have departed 4.10 code long time since with Ultrapack, just saying.
But yes, indeed, BAT uses a very different codebase.

Not without touching the classes.
NG-HUD touches many core classes, thus it cannot be cross-compatible with several game versions easily.
