Hi, I'm new to Il-2: 1946 and I've just installed BAT and while in mission planning, I've run into the issue that almost every country except few planes mainly form Italy, Germany and one from USA are in the same team (REDFOR). Is it possible for me to somehow designate enemies from the same team or what should I do in this case? I'm terribly sorry if somehow this question have been asked before, I could not find anything on this subject here and elsewhere.

No problem for asking.

In Single Player, of course the missions are for each team depending on country.  The stock IL-2 has a more limited set of countries and it is easier to see which ones are Red (USSR, USA, France, Australia, etc) and Blue (Germany, Japan, Italy, etc).  BAT has an extended set of countries including some made up ones.  Some countries are duplicated so that countries that changed faction can be represented, mostly for JTW the idea is that you use the Cold War and Modern NATO Blue vs Warsaw Pact Red.

In Quick Mission Builder (QMB) you can pick which team you want, Red or Blue.  In FMB for each flight you pick team then country.  But no, not all countries are duplicated.

Ah, alright. I thought that because in plane viewer/inspector USA and USSR were in the same team, it meant that I could not fight them. I thought that by just designating the plane as USAF it would be an enemy plane, but the only thing i had to do was to scroll down in bluefor category in mission creator. Thank you very much, I understand it now!
