It is always better to use the cod file instead of the static weapon declaration in the class file. Using the cod will save memory and your pc resources

Thanks for this explanation and advice Frankiek !!  :) ... I didn't know...  ;)

Gilles's latest works for me, also good takeoff...

Hi Herb,

I'm glad to hear that you solved your problem... there is nothing more frustrating and irritating when it works for others and not for you !! o_O

That's great !!   ;)

Yes that is happening because Vasya for some unknown reason has introduced the static weapon declaration in the plane class file resulting in double reading from the class and the cod. In any case you can use it without the cod pending a class file recompilation

It is more convenient for me to write weapons in the class.
The class/hash can be moved from assembly to assembly and there is no need to worry about losing the code file with weapons.
For small assemblies that do not have hundreds of gigabytes of planes or maps, it is not critical if weapons are added to the class.
I made a choice for users, there is a class that works with the code folder and there is one that can work without it.
I conducted dozens of tests, trying to make the SOC take off from the water. Even the entered afterburner up to 950 hp of engine power does not allow the SOC to take off from the water, although the speed without flaps increases to 97 km per hour.  :-|
I found the reason: in the FM there is a line WaterClipList 07.
Changing the numbers to any others reduces the speed on the water to 25 km per hour.
Zero on floats with close weight and close engine power takes off easily from the water.
I think that it is necessary/desirable to review/correct WaterClipList 07 and the speed on the water of the SOC will increase for a confident takeoff.
I do not know how to modify a 3D aircraft in terms of clip correction.  :-[
I conducted tests in patch 4.12.2 and 4.13.4.
I am removing the SOC mod from the assembly and moving it to the archive.

Dear Vasya as was proved since the times of DBW it is sufficient to have around 4-500 planes in your setup to start facing problems with the Java wall. So for anybody using DBW, UP, BAT, VP DGen YP or modact based versions  with a similar number of planes (no need for hundreds Gb) is more convenient to have a cod system that is extensively used also in the stock version. Even if you don't hit the java wall your game will run smoother and the same cod will work in any Il-2 version. To avoid problems i always place the cod in a dedicated folder inside the mod plane folder. Other advantage of the cod system is that  yo can rearrange weapon loadouts just modifying a simple text file with no need to recompile class files. Of course everyone is free to choose the system he feels comfortable with.

For anyone that would like to use Vasya SOC_1 class file (with the modified hit code for the fuel tank and 100 bullets added to the turret gun) please find attached the unhashed and hashed plane class and the revised cold. The previous cod will also work just with less bullets for your gunner.

In the archive that I suggested above there is/was already a choice of which class to use: the old one with the old code file, a class with added weapons and without a code file, and a class without a weapons section that works with a code file that has 100 more bullets for the shooter.
But since I have already removed the SOK mod from my builds, then of course let users have the opportunity to choose which classes to install for this mod. The more options, the better.
Afterword: with old mod activators with a MOD folder, the game only accepts 115-130 additional aircraft.
With the SAS mod activator, I have not noticed any limitations yet.
Many thanks to the SAS modderms for the improvements for the Il-2 game!
I often add a weapons section to classes because of my poor eyesight, it is difficult for me to write a code file with weapons.
For classes, I have many blanks - they can simply be copied and pasted into another / new class, changing the names of the guns or bombs to the desired ones. For SOK, I added a section on the method for smoking and burning the tank, so that the tank does not instantly catch fire from one bullet.

Thank you Vasya and Frankiek,  :)

Your files that are shared are welcome and above all, the different points of view and explanations help to understand all the difficulties of modding ....  :o

Thanks again for the work done !  :)

I wonder if we change CF_DO in Cockpit folder to 'hidden'.

It doesn't seem like a big problem...
