Dude,
Just mod. If you are tired, take a break. If it makes you feel good (like it does for me), just mod. I don't expect gratitude from the minimal work I do. I actually enjoy the results of my labour in my own enjoyment of IL-2. If that works for you, then that should be enough motivation.
If not, then well, stop. I thank you for the work you have done so far, but if you don't wanna be around, or have an issue with the community or where it is going, it is OK if you don't like it and want to go do something else, or just take a break. I don't wish for that, but I don't feel I need to ask you to stay. Do what you want, you should not make your life decisions based on other people's input anyway. Life is too short.
And you probably don't need to announce it either. You can simply leave without drawing attention (that in itself is a strong message) ... or you can simply stay, as you have for the last month you posted the goodbye note, or... just take a break. I hope you change your mind and stick around, but it is really up to you. Regardless, you made a mark in the community, and whether you decide to leave or go, your work will still be appreciated.
