I vaguely remembered that plane explosions at the beginning of the game were related to incorrect loadouts. That's why I deactivated the cod files as a test and the problems were gone. Thanks to gilles64 for the link to the corresponding cod files, otherwise I would have had to try them all individually. Now it works for me.

Hi Mission_bug,

Glad that your extraction had a favorable outcome to be able to share.  ;)

Hi Mission_bug,

Glad that your extraction had a favorable outcome to be able to share.  ;)

Hello Gilles, if we tinker long enough we get there in the end. :D

I just had a report from Alex, I sent him some hashed classes and now he can use the aircraft as AI but not actually fly them. o_O

From observing other threads I noticed others who have extracted different aircraft seemed to encounter similar problems to Alex in that they needed hashed classes, could it be that some installs can read the dumped files but others only the hashed ones?

The mysteries deepen, anyway, I will try again tomorrow to see what I can do for Alex, I have had enough today.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Totally agree with you Mission_bug,  ;)

between the searches for different tools to tinker, create, make mistakes and other ... it's a lot ... but the most important, mutual aid to have the joy of delivering and sharing !  :)

Enough for tonight too ...

Hello guys, probably the last note from me on this. ;)

I mentioned I was having trouble changing skins, this was my fault I have to confess as in my test install the 'True Color Textures for SAS Modact' in the jsgmemods of my test install was not activated. :-[

How funny it is that no matter long we have played and modded this game we still forget simple things and make silly mistakes, it seems I do not always learn from previous mistakes. :D

So far the mod still fails to work for Alex (Bison_M), sadly there is nothing more I can do for him or anyone else experiencing troubles so I will call it a day on this project as there is nothing further I can add, anything else will have to be put to the experts.

I have sorted out a new folder where I removed all of the dumped COD files so it now only contains those necessary, thanks to Gilles for his help on that one. 8)

Also, I have added into the readme all the entries necessary for both and there is now a new link uploaded to replace what we had previously, any further work can be carried out by those who wish to do so.

The flickering screen when in the QMB window for the B-49 still persists, reminds me of a similar thing that used to happen in the FMB, fly it first and then come out and then go back to the window and everything is normal and the skin can be changed.

Thank you very much to those who helped me out with this one, really appreciated. 8)

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Thanks team for your efforts.

I have also looked at the file structure and changed position and renamed the folder(XB35 etc) still get a 60% CTD.
Heavily modded 4.12 nearly identical to Zaxxx2's log. A group of us tried to create a standalone Canberra B2 from the Canberra pack installed with BAT some years ago with the same issues related to missing files that were placed in some unknown part of BAT. I Support BAT even though it is buggier than a New Guinea jungle!!.
The standalone Canberra B2 effort died very quickly.
I was very keen to work on a skin pack for the B-35 and B-49.

Hello guys, one last thing, I posted a link to hashed files for both in the first page. ;)

These are the hashed classes for the B-35 and B-49, I have left them in the folder structure as the un-hashed ones and it could be that you need to place these in another part of your mod folder than those for them to work, it is up to you guys to experiment and see what if anything works for you.

Please post any results good or bad into the WIP thread so that hopefully others can gain some knowledge and apply that to what they have, hopefully we will get a working version for everybody.

Take care and be safe.

Hi Mission_bug,

I did some tests only with the B-35 that I installed in my game (4.12.2m Modact 5.30)

Here is what I found using the Hashed class files, without the 'com':

No return to 30, 60 or 90% when launching the game.

In the QMB, no "Little Boy, Fat Man and Empty"

On the other hand, if you launch a flight on a map in the QMB, the launch stops and returns to the desktop screen ...

Hello Gilles, thank you very much for the report and the class files, really appreciated. 8)

For me in my ModAct 5.30 the hashed files do not work at all so it runs for me using the files as dumped from BAT but Alex could not get this to work either way and eventually he added some test cockpit he had available for another type, how he did that is beyond me as he would have had to rename the java in some way but I guess his is a very bespoke install. :D

This class you link might just be the thing he needs but as far as I know they were all there in the hashed classes I uploaded, that said my java abilities are not that good and there could be something suspect in my java tools so your link is a welcome addition to the puzzle that will hopefully be of use to others using this outside of BAT.  8)

I will see if Alex will give this a go and if it finally works for him then maybe we can take this out of WIP and into a release thread knowing we got all the pieces of the jigsaw. ;)

Again, thank you very much for your continued testing, really appreciated.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

I am not sure that this will solve the issue but I would suggest installing SAS common utilities in VP Pack as this may help when importing new planes in particular jets or in general  planes extracted from BAT  https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,40490.0.html

Hello Gilles, I gave your link a try myself in my test install just as it was in your download and unfortunately get the same result as you, it loads in QMB with no big bombs and then I have a CTD once I go to launch the aircraft, same log as you. ;)

As I've mentioned previously my test install has all the necessary dependencies and as far as I am aware all are up to date, ! SAS Common Utils_115 is also ther5e as mentioned by Frankiek.

I have no other installs such as the VP pack so I am unable to test anything further, this really is a puzzle to say the least. o_O

Anyway, thank you guys again for trying to help sort this out, really appreciated. 8)

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
