Ardennes map terrain sculpting

For some maps which I find boringly smooth I adjust the map_h.tga so as to impart some visual variety by sculpting the terrain. I've recently done this for the Ardennes map. Here's the readme file contents:

The smoothness of the Ardennes map has been enlivened with some small scale hills, mostly in the forested areas. River banks have been adjusted as well. Additionally, terrain slopes for railways particularly and certain sections of roads have been made less steep and smoother.

This height map file is used by both the summer and winter maps.

Back up the original map_h.tga, and drop this into your Ardennes map folder.

I'm new to this. How do I install this? I can't find the TGA file in my install.

If your game is mod activated, and assuming it's B.A.T., the full path for this file will be

  #WAW3/MAPMODS/maps/ardennes/map_h.tga

If any particular folder does not exist, create it and any following down to ardennes, then copy the .tga into it.

Your game will then read this copy of the file before it does the already present version it used before.

Any subsequent ardennes map mods can have their files placed here. But if any other mod should include map_h.tga, be aware of which copy you would like to retain.
