Thanks, but 49Gb looks too big to download and install (and backup and copy later) just to add blood to the game Are they all that big? If so, I can live w/o blood.
I've installed v 4.12.2m however, it works fine, but cannot play trk files from my old v.4.08m. Is there any tool to convert them?

The IL-2 trk is the worst thing about this game.
It is preferable to use "Fraps" or "Screen Recorder"...

That's extremely stupid Every update ruins all previous tracks, and no way to convert them! I know that they can be saved from the old version as ntrk, but I have more than 300 of them - too much for re-recording manually

I do not use any mods i just have a IL 2 1946 v4.13.4.

I've installed 4.12.2m and mod.act. 530 (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,37662.msg416689.html#msg416689) (great - just 240 Mb, no gigabytes!) and copied 0_Wolfighter_Gore4allPlanes_v1.4 into #SAS folder. Still don't see any blood (
So, the full path to the modded planes looks C:\game\il-2\#SAS\0_Wolfighter_Gore4allPlanes_v1.4\3do\Plane\ - is this incorrect?

OK, I found the reason. The blood does not appear when playing tracks saved before ModAct was installed, but when you play after the installation, it works.
